After 2 years in the making, Hazim Bangwar releases his long-awaited debut album Playing with Fire. The album is a dynamic dance-pop, rock, and hip-pop record.

The album is an embodiment of confidence and boldness.

In an interview, Hazim said “I wanted songs which all represented me and my risk-taking personality. I don’t like playing safe and wanted to represent that with different themes, genres, and sounds, hence naming the album playing with fire.”

The album title also represents the artist’s professional career as an Assistant Commissioner in the Government. A profession that doesn’t leave room for arts, but that didn’t stop the multitalented artist, instead, he used that as a front theme for the album.

The artist made sure that he wanted the audience to feel something while listening to the album. The opening track “Haram” is an up-tempo electro song that plays with smart lyrical content that not only forces one to dance but also think. “Hell Ya” another hit on the album is an up-tempo dance-pop song that incorporates elements of euro-dance in its production and is considered a club banger.

“Tujhko Bhulaya” the only Urdu song on the album is a pop power ballad with soft piano keys and intimate optimism, building into a massive power-ballad chorus.

This is the first time a Pakistani artist’s album has hit international music charts

With 3 international hits, and a complete body of work this album has been completely worth the wait, with a little bit for everyone from east to west.
