Tamanneftegas Terminal Sums up Two-Month Social Support Run
Tamanneftegas has expanded the reach of its corporate social responsibility across the Taman Peninsula for the second consecutive month. As part of its ongoing efforts at improving the lives of the local community, Tamanneftegas terminal organized a number of support initiatives in several villages, the aim being schoolchildren’s education and ecological maintenance.
Tamanneftegas supported 6 schools in the villages of Taman, Veselovka, Volna, Tamansky, and Progress in April. The aim was to introduce local schoolchildren to different career opportunities through specialized guidance, tests, and live presentations by qualified professionals. The event was supported by the company’s employees, who gave live performances and explained the importance of work safety procedures, as well as the intricacies of some of the professions involved in maintaining the port of Taman and its surroundings.
Other initiatives conducted during the same month included a beach cleanup operation near the village of Veselkovka, which attracted over 500 volunteers. Such local actions are called upon to attract attention to the environment and uphold the fragile balance of the indigenous ecosystem.
The other support initiatives included employee award ceremonies for commitment to safety and work performance. Tamanneftegas has also provided support in refurbishing the kindergartens of the Temryuk Region, and has granted its sponsorship for the local Taman football team, which is set to participate in the regional championship. Tamanneftegas further illuminated the streets of the Tamansky village with 160 LED lamps, and procured equipment for the local cultural center. Lastly, the company rewarded more than 50 graduates of schools from Taman for their excellence.
